  • Microsoft and Siemens are launching Siemens Industrial Copilot, an AI-powered assistant designed to advance human-machine collaboration and enhance productivity across multiple industries, including manufacturing, infrastructure, transportation and healthcare.
  • The Siemens Teamcenter app for Microsoft Teams, which improves innovation along the product lifecycle, will be generally available in December 2023, contributing to the enablement of the industrial metaverse and simplifying virtual cooperation across business functions.
  • As a part of the partnership, the two companies intend to build additional copilots for various sectors. The automation and process simulation data provided by Siemens Industrial Copilot is received from Siemens Xcelerator and enhanced with Microsoft's Azure OpenAI Service.
  • Among early adopters of Siemens Industrial Copilot is Schaeffler AG, a leading automotive supplier, aiming to expedite the code generation for programming industrial automation systems and considerably reduce production downtimes.
