Overview

  • The ROG Xbox Ally is built around an AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD while the higher-end Ally X features an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme chip paired with 24 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD.
  • Both models feature a seven-inch 1080p touchscreen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, VRR support and ergonomic grips inspired by Xbox Wireless Controllers.
  • Microsoft and ASUS have opened pre-orders for both devices ahead of a holiday 2025 release, with pricing details to be announced later this year.
  • Users will access a new “verified for handheld” label to identify titles optimized for the devices and receive a free trial of Xbox Game Pass if they are new subscribers.
  • Accessibility options, game modding support and multiple gaming storefronts including Steam, Epic Games, Battle.net and Ubisoft Connect are integrated to enhance the portable experience.
