Overview
- The Micron 9650, the world’s first PCIe 6.0 SSD, is now shipping samples in E1.S and E3.S form factors to AI server and data-center customers.
- The Gen 6 drive uses a proprietary controller and ninth-generation 276-layer G9 3D TLC NAND to deliver up to 28 GB/s sequential reads, 14 GB/s writes and up to 5.5 million/0.9 million random IOPS.
- Available in Pro (read-intensive) and Max (mixed-use) variants from 6.4 TB to 30.72 TB, the 9650 offers endurance ratings up to 282,600 TBW for high-throughput workloads.
- Micron’s 7600 Gen 5 SSD, designed for AI inference and mixed workloads, features sub-1 ms latency and is also shipping to customers now.
- The 6600 ION series, built on E3.S form factors with G9 QLC NAND, delivers high-density storage—up to 122.88 TB per drive—while consuming only 1 W per 4.9 TB.
