Overview
- Online registration runs March 17–20 through data.michoacan.gob.mx, following an earlier sign-up phase.
- Chip pickup is scheduled March 17–27 at regional sites including Ceconexpo Morelia (set weekday and weekend hours), ITESZ Zamora (March 17–27), Ciudad Hidalgo (from March 18), Lázaro Cárdenas and Apatzingán (March 20–27), and Uruapan (March 23–27).
- Eligible recipients are students in upper secondary schools, technological institutes, and universities across the state.
- To receive a SIM, students must present copies of INE and CURP; minors must add parent or guardian INE and CURP, and UMSNH students must show a course-load screenshot or valid student ID.
- Officials report about 107,000 registrations to date and say sufficient inventory is available through the CFE donation as part of the Plan Michoacán push for digital inclusion.
