Overview
- Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla inaugurated the rehabilitation of 14 kilometers on the federal Apatzingán-Buenavista-Tepalcatepec highway as Phase 1 of a six-month upgrade
- On July 10 the state also kicked off the Apatzingán-El Recreo link, with 2.5 km rehabilitated and 1.7 km reconstructed to connect El Recreo to Aguililla, Buenavista and Tepalcatepec
- Both works are financed through the Fondo de Aportaciones Estatales para la Infraestructura de los Servicios Públicos Municipales (Faeispum) and will see federal authorities intervene on adjoining stretches
- The upgrades are set to benefit more than 29,000 residents and accommodate over 5,000 vehicles daily along this key agricultural corridor
- Complementary municipal road improvements are under way in targeted communities while federal coordination advances plans to extend rehabilitation beyond Tepalcatepec
