The incident allegedly began when Howard's son, Jace, a player on the team, made comments to a trainer that Sanderson found disrespectful, leading to a heated verbal exchange between Howard and Sanderson.
Sanderson has filed an HR claim and has not been present at recent games or practices.
Howard is currently under a zero-tolerance policy from the university due to a previous incident in 2022 where he hit a Wisconsin assistant coach during a postgame handshake line.
