Michigan's Donovan Edwards to Skip ReliaQuest Bowl for NFL Draft

The senior running back and team captain concludes his Michigan career, joining other top players opting out of the game against Alabama.

Donovan Edwards, Michigan's senior running back, has announced he will not play in the ReliaQuest Bowl to focus on preparing for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Edwards, a key contributor to Michigan's national championship last season, ends his college career with 2,251 rushing yards, 797 receiving yards, and 23 total touchdowns.
He joins defensive tackle Mason Graham, cornerback Will Johnson, and tight end Colston Loveland, who are also opting out of the Dec. 31 game against No. 11 Alabama.
Alabama's roster remains intact for the bowl game, with no players reported to be opting out, according to team sources.
Edwards expressed gratitude to Michigan fans, calling his time with the Wolverines a special chapter in his life as he looks ahead to a professional career.
