Michigan State suspends football coach Mel Tucker amid sexual harassment investigation

Michigan State has suspended head football coach Mel Tucker without pay pending an investigation into allegations he sexually harassed activist Brenda Tracy.
Tracy filed a Title IX complaint alleging Tucker made inappropriate sexual comments and masturbated during a phone call with her.
Tucker acknowledged the incident but claims it was a consensual personal relationship, while Tracy asserts it was harassment.
An independent investigation concluded in July, and a hearing is scheduled for early October to determine if Tucker violated school policy.
If fired for cause, Tucker could lose the remaining $80+ million left on his 10-year contract signed in 2021.
