A semi-truck failed to stop for backed-up traffic on I-96, resulting in a fiery multi-vehicle collision.

The crash occurred late Saturday night on Interstate 96 near Webberville, Michigan, during utility work on power lines.
Four victims were confirmed dead, including a 29-year-old man from Carson City and three related individuals from Lansing.
Seventeen others, including the truck driver, sustained injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
The collision involved over a dozen vehicles, many of which caught fire upon impact.
The affected section of I-96 remains closed indefinitely as authorities inspect the bridge's structural integrity.
