Michigan Secretary of State Interviewed by Federal Prosecutors in Election Probe

Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson was interviewed by federal prosecutors for several hours as part of an investigation into efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
Benson complied with a subpoena and provided documents, including an email from someone claiming to work for Rudy Giuliani requesting access to election equipment.
Prosecutors have also interviewed Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and an Arizona GOP official as part of the probe.
The interview focused on the impact of misinformation and threats against election officials that emerged after the 2020 election.
Benson said she is willing to speak with anyone about the need for justice and accountability regarding the misinformation campaigns.
