DNR officials credit targeted search training for the swift recovery.

  • The 70-year-old wandered from his Edwards Township home around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday near County Highway F-18 and M-30.
  • Conservation officers Kyle Bader, Brad Bellville, Josh Jobin and probationary officer Andrew Werth led a ground search that located him at 3:10 p.m.
  • He was found in a ditch about 100 yards from his residence, was in stable condition, and did not need medical care.
