  • Brian Anthony Browning, 31, opened fire outside CrossPointe Community Church in Wayne, Michigan, on June 22 during a vacation Bible school service attended by around 150 people, including many children.
  • A congregant drove a Ford F-150 into the armed attacker as he fired into the building, enabling a church security guard to shoot and kill him on the spot.
  • The security guard suffered a leg wound, underwent surgery, and is now in stable condition at a local hospital.
  • Police recovered an AR-15-style rifle, a semi-automatic handgun and hundreds of rounds at the scene, then found additional weapons and ammunition at the shooter’s Romulus residence.
