- Boise State co-defensive coordinator Tyler Stockton is joining Michigan as safeties coach, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, giving the Wolverines a dedicated leader alongside new defensive backs coach Jernaro Gilford.
- Michigan officially named Alex Whittingham linebackers coach and confirmed Gilford for the secondary on Jan. 3, with Alex arriving from the Kansas City Chiefs after eight seasons on Steve Spagnuolo’s staff.
