Overview

  • On her July 29 Checking In w/ Record Breakers podcast, Williams said she still carried “trauma” from her 2004 fall on BET’s 106 & Park and kept a mantra of “Do not fall” before stepping on stage.
  • She enlisted longtime stylist Ty Hunter to remove the fringe from her pants in order to minimize trip hazards during the reunion set.
  • Despite extensive run-throughs of the stage stairs, Williams admitted that her fear and lack of trust in the steps almost undermined her confidence on the night of the performance.
  • The July 26 reunion at Las VegasAllegiant Stadium marked Destiny’s Child’s first onstage appearance together since Beyoncé’s 2018 Coachella show.
  • The trio delivered a medley of hits including “Lose My Breath,” Beyoncé’s “Energy” and “Bootylicious” to a sold-out Cowboy Carter Tour finale.
