Overview

  • The Blame adapts Charlotte Langley’s debut novel into a six-part crime drama centered on a teenage figure skater’s death and the ensuing uncovering of institutional cover-ups in Wakestead.
  • Michelle Keegan stars as DI Emma Crane alongside Douglas Booth as DI Tom Radley as they lead the investigation.
  • Quay Street Productions and ITV Studios back the series with Megan Gallagher as lead writer, Nicola Shindler and Richard Fee as executive producers and directors Bex Rycroft and Claire Tailyour at the helm.
  • Supporting roles have been filled by Nathan Mensah, Nigel Boyle, Joe Armstrong, Matilda Freeman, Gavin Spokes, Josh Bolt and Ceallach Spellman.
  • Principal photography is set to begin this summer in and around London, and no air date has been announced.
