Michelin Spain 2026: No New Three Stars as Five Gain Two and 25 Earn One

The Málaga gala marked the guide’s 125th year with expanded recognition, lifting Spain to 510 starred restaurants and adding new Bib Gourmands and green stars.

Overview

  • All 16 restaurants with three stars keep their status, with no additions at the top tier in the new Spain and Andorra guide.
  • Five restaurants move up to two stars: Aleia, Enigma and Mont Bar (Barcelona), La Boscana (Bellvís, Lleida) and Ramón Freixa Atelier (Madrid).
  • After the update, Spain counts 510 starred venues in total: 16 with three stars, 37 with two and 253 with one.
  • Twenty‑five restaurants receive their first star, reflecting wider geographic reach, including Regueiro (Asturias), Bakea (Mungia), Barahonda (Yecla), Palodú (Málaga), Recomiendo (Córdoba), Itzuli (San Sebastián) and others.
  • Michelin adds 29 new Bib Gourmands (204 total) and five new green stars (Ama, Bakea, Garena, Hika and Terrae), and honors Quique Dacosta as Mentor Chef, Luis Baselga as Best Sommelier, Abel Valverde as Best Head of Sala and Juan Carlos García as Young Chef.
