Michelin Expands Toronto Guide, Awards Stars to Four New Restaurants

The Michelin Guide now includes eateries outside Toronto city limits, with new stars awarded to restaurants in Creemore, Oakville, Niagara Region, and Toronto.

  • Michelin has expanded its Toronto guide to cover 'Toronto and Region,' including areas as far as Collingwood, Hamilton, Cambridge, and Niagara Falls.
  • New Michelin stars have been awarded to The Pine in Creemore, Hexagon in Oakville, Restaurant Pearl Morissette in Niagara Region, and DaNico in Toronto.
  • Restaurant Pearl Morissette received both a Michelin star and a green star for its sustainability efforts, including sourcing ingredients from local farmers and maintaining a regenerative garden.
  • Toronto and its surrounding region now boast 15 restaurants with one Michelin star and one restaurant with two stars, Sushi Masaki Saito.
  • Four additional restaurants received the Bib Gourmand designation for offering good food at moderate prices: Berkeley North in Hamilton, Guru Lukshmi in Mississauga, and Rasa and Conejo Negro in Toronto.
