Michelin Adds Two New One-Star Restaurants in 2025 Vancouver Guide

The selections reflect inspectors’ criteria-driven assessments rather than local predictions.

Chef and owner Juhyun Lee of Sushi Hyun won the Michelin Young Chef Award during the Michelin Guide ceremony at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver on Oct. 2, 2025. His restaurant Sushi Hyun was also awarded a coveted Michelin star during the event.

  • Sumibiyaki Arashi, led by Peter Ho, and Sushi Hyun, led by Juhyun Lee, each received one Michelin star.

  • Elem and Nero Tondo were added to the Guide as Recommended restaurants.
