Michelin Adds Three New One-Star Restaurants in Texas in 2025 Guide

San Antonio posts the biggest gains, with two new stars plus a Green Star signaling statewide momentum.

On Tuesday night, the Michelin Guide marks its second year in Texas with an awards ceremony that begins at 7:15 in Houston. We’ll be posting live updates from the event.

Overview

  • New one-star awards went to Isidore and Nicōsi in San Antonio and to Mamani in Dallas.
  • Texas now has 18 one-star restaurants statewide, with no establishment receiving more than one star this year.
  • Green Star recognition for sustainable gastronomy was awarded to Isidore in San Antonio and Nixta Taqueria in Austin.
  • The Bib Gourmand roster rose to 52, adding Mezquite in San Antonio, Mercado Sin Nombre and Parish Barbecue in Austin, and five newcomers in Houston.
  • Honors were revealed at Houston’s Wortham Theater Center, with special awards to Chas Martin (cocktails), Celia Pellegrini (sommelier), Elliot Wood (service) and Chuck Charnichart (young chef).
