Overview

  • Two new accusers, former Evanescence manager Jason Jones and collaborator Randall Crawford, publicly detailed incidents of being drugged and sexually assaulted by Tait in 1998 and 2000.
  • Jones alleges he awoke multiple times at Tait’s Nashville home with his pants missing and was pushed out of Evanescence’s management after raising the complaint.
  • Crawford says he blacked out after one drink at Tait’s house and two friends confirmed he told them about the assault at the time.
  • In June Tait posted an Instagram statement admitting to long-term cocaine and alcohol struggles and unwanted touching of men, but he has not responded to the latest claims.
  • Evanescence co-founder Ben Moody and band representatives dispute key aspects of the accounts, including the circumstances of Jones’s departure.
