  • The Mosley family marked what they described as the “hardest of our lives” on the first anniversary of Michael Mosley’s death, expressing gratitude for public support.
  • Last month they launched the Michael Mosley Memorial Research Fund with King’s College London and the Chronic Disease Research Foundation to fund a clinical research fellowship in metabolic health.
  • In December a coroner concluded that his death on Symi island was indeterminate and likely attributable to heatstroke or an unknown pathological cause.
  • During his career Mosley popularized the 5:2 intermittent fasting diet and presented BBC programmes including Trust Me, I’m A Doctor and Just One Thing.
  • His son, Dr Jack Mosley, a GP registrar who co-investigated GLP-1 weight loss drugs with his father, has published the book Food Noise to explore nutrition and medication for weight management.
