• Mina Group announced Bourbon Steak will reopen in October inside the Westin St. Francis at 335 Powell St. in San Francisco’s Union Square.
• Stephen Curry is developing The Eighth Rule, a bourbon-focused, reservations-only bar with about 40 seats that Mina Group will operate and keep open until 2 a.m.
• The hotel’s lobby has been gutted and redesigned by AvroKO with a new Powell Street entrance, a central bar, and a stage for live music into late night.
• Bourbon Steak will showcase theatrical steakhouse service with a roaming fish cart, tableside Wagyu torching, and a separate Bourbon Lounge for drinks and bar bites.
• The openings mark Curry’s first brick-and-mortar hospitality venture and the return of Bourbon Steak to San Francisco for the first time since 2016.
