Overview

  • Champions Point now requires a minimum seven-night stay on Airbnb Luxe, with a 21-night booking priced at nearly $330,000.
  • The 7.39-acre estate offers seven bedrooms, 17.5 bathrooms and luxury amenities such as a full-size basketball court, championship putting green, tennis court, fitness center, home theater, cigar lounge and wine cellar.
  • Real estate investor John Cooper purchased the 56,000-square-foot property for $9.5 million in December after it spent over a decade on the market under Michael Jordan’s ownership.
  • Cooper previously marketed Champions Point as “The Ultimate March Madness Retreat” this spring, charging $230,000 for a month-long stay before the Airbnb Luxe launch.
  • He says short-term rentals will generate immediate revenue and publicity while he evaluates longer-term uses that would require zoning relief.
