Michael Donovan, Shannon Matthews' Kidnapper, Dies at 54

Michael Donovan, involved in the infamous 2008 kidnapping of Shannon Matthews, has died from cancer in a West Yorkshire hospital.

Donovan passed away at Three Valleys Hospital in Keighley, where he had been residing since his release in 2012.
The kidnapping, orchestrated with Shannon’s mother, involved hiding Shannon in a divan bed for 24 days.
The search for Shannon was one of the largest in West Yorkshire Police history, costing over £3 million.
Donovan had changed his name to Aiden Johnson and had been diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.
