Michael B. Jordan is set to direct the fourth installment of the Creed franchise, following his directorial debut with Creed III.
Producer Irwin Winkler confirmed the news at the Deadline Contenders Film event in Los Angeles, revealing that the film is currently in the planning stages with a 'really good story, a good plot'.
Filming is likely to start in late 2024, following a delay due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.
Creed III, which marked Jordan's directorial debut, grossed $275 million at the worldwide box office and was the biggest domestic opening for a sports film.
The future involvement of Sylvester Stallone, who played Rocky Balboa in the original Rocky series and the first two Creed films, remains uncertain after he did not return for Creed III and expressed dissatisfaction with the franchise's direction.
