Parsons praised Mitchell as one of his favorite players in the draft, highlighting his exceptional performance at the NFL combine and Senior Bowl.
Mitchell, who ran a 4.33-second 40-yard dash and had the most bench press reps among cornerbacks at the combine, was selected 22nd overall by the Eagles.
The selection adds significant strength to the Eagles' secondary, which struggled last season, allowing one of the highest passing yards and touchdowns in the league.
