Miami's Cam Ward Named AP ACC Offensive and Newcomer of the Year

Ward leads a league-high eight Miami players on the AP All-ACC teams after a record-breaking season.

Cam Ward, Miami's quarterback, was honored as the AP ACC Offensive Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year following a standout season.
Ward set Miami records with 4,123 passing yards and 36 touchdowns, achieving the nation's highest ESPN quarterback rating of 88.
Wide receiver Xavier Restrepo, kicker Andy Borregales, and defensive tackle Simeon Barrow Jr. were among five Miami players named to the AP All-ACC first team.
Restrepo became Miami's all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards, finishing the season with 1,127 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Miami had a league-high eight players across the AP All-ACC first and second teams, including brothers Francis and Francisco Mauigoa on the second team.
