MHADA Slashes Prices for 6,248 Thane PMAY Homes as Transit Camp Biometric Survey Enters Final Phase

Overview

  • MHADA reduced the sale price of 5,236 houses in Shirgaon by ₹1,43,404 to ₹19,28,742 and 1,012 houses in Khoni by ₹1,01,800 to ₹19,11,700 under the PMAY EWS scheme.
  • The price adjustments cover a total of 6,248 homes in Thane district and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Vice President and CEO Sanjeev Jaiswal approved the reductions to enhance affordability for economically weaker sections.
  • MBRRB’s biometric survey, which began on February 10, has entered its final phase for transit camp tenants.
  • The board has warned that tenants who do not complete the survey will be declared unauthorized occupants and face eviction under Section 95(A)(3) of the MHADA Act, 1976.
