Mexico’s Welfare Ministry Sets Oct. 7–Nov. 7 Rollout for Nearly 2 Million Mujeres Bienestar Cards

SMS appointments alongside a CURP lookup will guide secure, beneficiary-only pickup ahead of the first 3,000-peso deposit in November.

Overview

  • Nearly two million women aged 60–64 who enrolled in August will receive Banco del Bienestar debit cards during the new delivery window.
  • The official site gob.mx/bienestar will publish a CURP-based tool so beneficiaries can confirm the exact day, time and location of their appointment.
  • To collect the card, beneficiaries must present an official photo ID in original and copy and the purple registration stub, and a photo will be taken at delivery.
  • Cards are delivered only to the beneficiary, with home delivery available in health or mobility cases and follow-up dates planned for those who miss their slot.
  • Bienestar reports the September–October bimonthly payments were completed for 16.4 million people with 92,358 million pesos disbursed, and the new cohort’s first deposit is slated for November.
