Overview

  • National storage across 210 largest dams climbed to 48% capacity, totaling 59,853 million m³, with 27 dams above 100% and 80 below 50%.
  • The Sistema Cutzamala rose to 56.4% capacity—more than double its fill a year earlier—with Valle de Bravo at 70.4%, El Bosque at 42.8% and Villa Victoria at 41.7%.
  • Despite recent rains delivering 204.7 million m³ in the past month, Sonora’s reservoirs remain at just 12.9% capacity, underscoring persistent shortages.
  • An 11.5% rainfall surplus year-to-date (31.3 mm above average) has fueled broad reservoir recoveries but failed to bridge regional gaps.
  • Conagua and local agencies maintain daily monitoring and targeted hydraulic operations to secure water supplies during the ongoing rainy and cyclone seasons.
