Mexico’s INAH Publishes 2026 Admission Prices for Museums and Archaeological Sites

The 2026 schedule sets four price tiers by visitor status to manage access across hundreds of heritage venues nationwide.

Overview

  • New tariffs took effect on January 1, 2026 and remain valid through December 31, 2026.
  • The four categories are priced as follows: Category I at 105 MXN for Mexican nationals and residents or 210 MXN for foreigners; Categories II and III at 85 MXN or 155 MXN; Category IV at 80 MXN or 140 MXN.
  • The fees apply across 165 museums, 193 archaeological zones and one paleontological site under INAH management.
  • Gratuity policies continue, including free entry on Sundays for Mexicans and legal residents, as well as exemptions for children under 13, students and teachers with valid ID, INAPAM cardholders, people with disabilities, authorized researchers and interns, and eligible nearby Indigenous community members.
  • Accredited tourist guides may enter at no cost to perform their work, official guided visits run through INAH’s Paseos Culturales program, visitors must present identification or proof of residence for applicable rates and benefits, and third‑party local charges are not included.
