Mexico’s Federal Scholarship Payments Pause for Summer Break

Preparation of Llave MX accounts now ensures students are ready with required documents before scholarship registration windows open later this summer.

Overview

  • The Coordinación Nacional de Becas para el Bienestar confirmed there will be no scholarship payments in July and August, with the next bimonthly disbursement scheduled for September–October.
  • Beca Rita Cetina and Beca Benito Juárez recipients each received 1,900 MXN for May–June, with an extra 700 MXN for families with multiple secondary school students.
  • Prospective applicants are required to create a Llave MX account before registration opens for the 2025–2026 cycle.
  • First-time bachillerato entrants should gather all necessary documents during the summer to register in early August.
  • Formal registration for Rita Cetina, Benito Juárez and Jóvenes Escribiendo el Futuro programs is slated to open in September and October.
