Overview

• Federal and state agencies including SEMAR, SEDENA, Guardia Nacional and SSPC coordinated aerial and ground operations across five Sierra Sinaloense municipalities.
• In Cosalá and nearby Ipucha, forces uncovered 14 long guns, a grenade launcher tube, 6,527 cartridges, 35 improvised explosive devices, nine vehicles with three armored and extensive tactical gear.
• Army units located 36 improvised explosive devices in Culiacán and Concordia and seized firearms, magazines and nine homemade bombs in Navolato.
• Five individuals detained in Concordia were found with a Barrett rifle, seven long guns, eight magazines, explosives, ballistic vests and a vehicle.
• All seized weapons, munitions and vehicles have been turned over to the Fiscalía General de la República for legal action as security forces maintain patrols along cartel transit routes.
