Overview
- Defense unveiled Operación Paricutín to contain criminal movement with 10,506 Army, Air Force and National Guard personnel, five helicopters, unmanned systems, anti-drone tools and antiblockade tactics aimed at extortion and homicides.
- Security chief Omar García Harfuch announced 1,980 additional federal agents and reinforced equipment and training for the state police and prosecutor’s office, with a federal visit to Uruapan scheduled this week.
