Overview

• SICT detailed a 2,220‑kilometer program presented by highways chief Carlos Arceo Castañeda during a Colegio de Ingenieros Civiles de México forum.
• Bavispe–Nuevo Casas Grandes in Sonora and Chihuahua, a 67‑kilometer route with seven bridges, is slated to be completed this year.
• On Morelos’ Circuito Tierra y Libertad, beams are already placed for the 30‑meter Puente Jojutla with a completion target at the end of August.
• This year’s works include 16 kilometers on Macuspana–Escárcega with widening from 12 to 22 meters plus bridge interventions, and 30 kilometers of widening to 12 meters on the Huejutla–Tamazunchale stretch.
• Toluca–Zihuatanejo advances with 12 kilometers supported by Defensa and environmental impact releases managed with SEMARNAT, while Salina Cruz–Zihuatanejo adds eight bridges to ease bottlenecks.
