Mexico Tax Revenue Tops Plan Through August With 6.4% Gain

Officials credit compliance reforms alongside new digital services for the outperformance.

  • Core taxes led the take: ISR reached 2.035 trillion pesos (up 6.7%) and IVA totaled 1.029 trillion (up 6.3%), while IEPS contributed 438,542 million pesos.
  • The agency highlighted its Plan Maestro 2025 as the framework prioritizing tax revenues as the backbone of public spending.
  • Digital services were expanded, including Factura SAT Móvil updates to add Carta Porte and Otros Derechos e Impuestos, plus SAT Móvil tools to download declaration acknowledgments and the Opinión de Cumplimiento.
  • SAT ID now offers monthly delivery of the Constancia de Situación Fiscal and supports early e.firma renewal, and the authority says that if trends continue 2025 could approach 5.5 trillion pesos, reinforcing fiscal stability without additional debt.
