Overview
- CNBBBJ says the initial phase prioritizes newly registered upper‑secondary students and others without an active card, with secondary recipients of Rita Cetina following.
- Card distribution will occur at public schools and designated sites, and schools will notify students or families of the exact date, time and location; new beneficiaries will not pick up cards at bank branches.
- To collect a card, minors must present their birth certificate, CURP, proof of address and a parent or guardian’s ID and documents, while adults present official ID, birth certificate, CURP and proof of address.
- Replacement of expired Banco del Bienestar cards has been underway since Nov. 17 for beneficiaries across the Benito Juárez and Rita Cetina programs.
- Payments are 1,900 pesos every two months deposited to the card, with Rita Cetina adding 700 pesos for each additional child in secondary; continuity payments were covered last month and new cards are expected to receive deposits beginning in December.
