• Education Secretary Mario Delgado announced a nationwide consultation running from October 2025 to March 2026 to design a new, fairer and more transparent mobility system to replace USICAMM, which he labeled “nefasta.”
• The consultation will be conducted school by school across the country to gather teachers’ needs and build the successor framework for career progression and mobility.
• SEP highlighted completed benefits for the workforce, including the basification of nearly one million teachers, an added week of vacation, and a 10% pay increase composed of 9% retroactive to January plus 1% from September.
