Overview
- Mexico’s pensions follow separate calendars for IMSS, ISSSTE and the Bienestar program, so January payment dates vary by institution.
- IMSS will deposit the January pension on Friday, Jan. 2, in line with its first‑business‑day rule, and the full 2026 monthly schedule has been published.
- ISSSTE set its January deposit for Jan. 2 as well, and some retirees may receive the second portion of the year‑end bonus with that payment under institute rules.
- The Bienestar bimonthly payment for January–February begins Monday, Jan. 5, using an alphabetical rollout (A–B first day, then C, continuing through W–Z by Jan. 21) and it will be the first deposit reflecting the program’s annual increase.
- Bienestar funds are deposited directly to Banco del Bienestar cards, and authorities advise against rushing to ATMs, urging beneficiaries to verify dates and bank details if a deposit does not appear.
