Mexico Sets Final Alphabetized Week for Bienestar Pension Sign-Ups Through Aug. 30

Overview

  • Registration runs Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 16:00, with Aug. 25–29 assigned by the first surname letter and Aug. 30 open to all latecomers.
  • Women aged 60–64 can enroll in Pensión Mujeres Bienestar for 3,000 pesos bimonthly, and they transition automatically to the older adult pension at 65.
  • People 65 and older have until Aug. 30 to register for the Pensión para Adultos Mayores, receiving a Banco del Bienestar card after approval for 6,200‑peso bimonthly deposits.
  • Required paperwork includes official ID, CURP, birth certificate, recent proof of address, a contact phone and the Bienestar registration form, and seniors may name an auxiliary who presents the same documents.
  • Applicants who cannot attend a module may request a home visit through the official portal, and President Claudia Sheinbaum and Secretary Ariadna Montiel visited a Guerrero site to encourage sign-ups.
