Mexico Sets 2026 Minimum Wage at 315.04 Pesos, 440.87 in Northern Border Zone
Companies are being advised to update payroll ahead of possible adjustments to wage-linked benefits.

- The new minimum wages take effect on January 1, 2026, following CONASAMI’s December 3 decision.
- The general rate uses a 17.01-peso Independent Recovery Amount combined with a 6.5% increase for an overall rise of about 13%.
- The Northern Border zone rate reflects a 5% increase and applies only within the Free Economic Zone designated by CONASAMI.
- The covered municipalities are in Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.
