Mexico Seizes Over 418,000 Liters in Anti-Huachicol Raids Under Operation Frontera Norte

The Security Ministry published Oct. 13 results from coordinated Oct. 10–12 raids targeting fuel theft networks.

  • In actions across Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí and Guanajuato, authorities reported combined seizures exceeding 418,000 liters of illicit fuel and related equipment.
  • In El Carmen, Nuevo León, agents raided a warehouse, arrested five people, and seized 115,500 liters of diesel, 147,839 liters of fuel, 14,000 liters of sulfuric acid, a tractor-trailer, 20 containers, four storage tanks and six pumps.
  • In Villagrán, Guanajuato, the FGR with Pemex security secured 30,000 liters of fuel during a property search.
  • On the Tula–San Antonio highway in San Luis Potosí, SSPC officers detained two people transporting 55,000 liters without proof of legal origin.
  • In Jaumave, Tamaulipas, the Army detained one person and confiscated 70,000 liters of gasoline hauled in two tankers during a random checkpoint.
