Mexico Secures Land and Caps Mortgage Rates in National Housing Rollout

  • Agencies have set production targets of 500,000 homes for CONAVI, 1.2 million for Infonavit and 100,000 for Fovissste as part of the program's rollout.
  • CONAVI has already secured 303 plots covering 866 hectares to build more than 112,000 homes ahead of full construction.
  • The initiative includes credit schemes for both home acquisition and improvement and aims to clear titles on around one million properties.
  • Developments are planned near urban job centers with public transport access and include safeguards to prevent gentrification and displacement.
