Overview
- Conavi will hold assemblies and lotteries from December 1–18 to assign 1,530 homes across nine states with oversight from Sedatu, Conavi, Bienestar, the Anticorruption and Good Governance Secretariat, and an Interior Ministry interventor.
- Infonavit plans to deliver 4,871 homes by late December and reports about 1,100 already handed over across 58 developments in 39 municipalities.
- Sedatu reports 345,817 homes currently in process, representing 90% of the 2025 target of 386,000 housing starts.
- Infonavit has scrapped the 1,080-point requirement, limiting eligibility to three conditions: being a contributor, earning one to two minimum wages, and having no active mortgage.
- Officials say roughly 2.5 million legacy “impagable” mortgages have been restructured with plans to resolve about 2.356 million more, and Sedatu warned applicants to rely on official portals after reports of false intermediaries.
