- At an International Literacy Day forum in Puebla, federal, state and UNESCO representatives outlined next steps for adult education.
- INEA put national illiteracy at about 3.93–3.95 percent, the first time below 4 percent, and set a target of 3.8 percent by the end of 2025.
- The institute reported 83,927 people certified by August and 257,125 currently in literacy processes across the country.
- INEA said it will formalize an agreement with UNESCO to expand services in hard-to-reach areas using digital delivery.
- New materials, including the Nombrando y Contando al Mundo 2025 module, add QR-linked audio and video, augmented reality and AI support, alongside bilingual resources in 66 indigenous languages.
