Mexico Reports Major Drug and Weapons Seizures in Coordinated Raids Across States

Officials say the synchronized raids advance a strategy to disrupt cartel supply chains.

  • Guardia Nacional and the Mexican Army in Ensenada, Baja California, seized 3,580 kilograms of methamphetamine after locating two vehicles.
  • Army personnel in Badiraguato, Sinaloa, confiscated 42 kilograms of fentanyl and 21 kilograms of cocaine, with officials estimating the haul at 349.5 million pesos.
  • Coordinated deployments in Sonora dismantled a criminal cell with 18 arrests and the seizure of more than 240 kilograms of drugs, firearms, vehicles and other criminal equipment.
  • Security forces also targeted logistics and financing by disabling clandestine fuel taps in Guanajuato and securing 88,000 liters of hydrocarbons during a raid in Cárdenas, Tabasco, while uncovering weapons and improvised explosive devices in multiple Sinaloa locations.
