Overview

  • Federal authorities presented results from the new Mi Derecho, Mi Lugar platform that replaced the Comipems exam, reporting 97.4% placed within their top three choices and 68.4% in their first choice.
  • A total of 272,793 applicants registered for 2025, with 111,335 admitted without exam (Modalidad 1), 37,234 taking UNAM or IPN exams (Modalidad 2), and 124,224 using a mixed pathway (Modalidad 3).
  • Officials said 68% of students were assigned to campuses within five kilometers of home and more than 6,000 new places were created through new schools and expansions.
  • Most public preparatorias now offer open access, while UNAM and IPN continue to require their own entrance exams.
  • The platform remains open through August 28 for roughly 12,000 students with incomplete registrations or UNAM/IPN-only selections, and Sheinbaum plans to present the Bachillerato Nacional on Tuesday.
