  • The Diario Oficial de la Federación published the call on August 9, launching a transparent, criteria-driven process to appoint the Comisión Nacional de Búsqueda head.
  • Applicants can register online from August 13 to 19 on a dedicated Segob microsite, after which formal requirements will be reviewed over five business days.
  • Candidates must be Mexican citizens with professional degrees, no felony convictions or public-service disqualifications, no party leadership roles in the past two years and human-rights and search expertise.
  • Shortlisted aspirants will be interviewed by Interior Secretary Rosa Icela Rodríguez, who will forward candidate profiles to President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo for final designation.
  • The head appointment process runs in parallel with the Senate’s formation of the Advisory Council to strengthen coordination with families and civil society.
