- Defense Secretary Ricardo Trevilla Trejo led the Nov. 18 commemoration, placing a floral offering and standing an honor guard at the Monumento a las Águilas Caídas in Mexico City.
- Fuerza Aérea Mexicana chief Gen. Román Carmona Landa said today’s airmen draw inspiration from Escuadrón 201 as they focus on airspace surveillance, disaster support and coordinated operations with the Army and National Guard.
- Gen. Miguel Eduardo Hernández Velázquez declared that Mexicans have an Air Force "of the people and for the people" and presented recognitions to families of Escuadrón 201 members and to relatives of pilots fallen in service.
