Overview
- Effective September 23, all vehicles that move petrolíferos, LPG and petrochemicals by road must carry a unique CNE-issued QR label, certified GPS tracking and durable balizado.
- CNE has up to 15 business days to notify QR codes to current permit holders, who then have 20 business days to affix the labels and 15 business days to request permit updates.
- Units lacking GPS have 30 days to install certified devices that transmit location in real time, with geolocation records retained for at least 12 months.
- Authorities and citizens can scan the QR to verify permits, insurance, authorized routes and cargo data, submit complaints, and access fuller records through Siracp; operators must allow scanning.
- Noncompliance, including omission or manipulation of required information or devices, will be sanctioned under the Hydrocarbons Sector Law, and new units cannot begin operations without meeting the requirements.
